The “16 For 16” digital EP/album is The Pixel Project’s annually released collection of positive and empowering songs to lift the spirits of women, girls and survivors of violence against women while raising funds to keep our campaigns and programmes running. The EP/album is part of the Music For Pixels campaign that works in tandem with The Pixel Project’s 16 For 16 blogging campaign in honour of the annual “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence” campaign which kicks off on International Elimination of Violence Against Women Day.

While the overall Music For Pixels campaign focuses on working with YouTube artistes, the EP/album was created in response to requests from non-YouTube artistes to participate in the cause. As with other Music For Pixels programmes, this is a social media campaign using YouTube music videos to raise awareness and digital downloads to raise funds.
